Testing Commands
Before attempting to use the CentroControl app or a Centro to communicate with a device, it is advisable to test the commands from the Designer software.
To test a command, select it from the tree view of commands, and click the Test Command
button:

This will instruct the PC software to attempt to establish a connection to the IP address and port specified, and send the command. There are only 2 possible outcomes of this operation:
- Command Sent - which means that the command was correctly sent to the IP address / port specified (note for UDP devices, you will always see this message, whether the IP address is correct or not). It does not tell you whether the command is correct - you will only know that by determining if the device actually carried out the desired operation.

- Command Failed - which means the PC could not establish a connection to the IP address / port specified. The command may or may not be correct, but a connection could not be established.

You should ensure that your commands can be successfully tested from this screen before proceeding.
